Hi guys, I handed over my blog to Ethan, who is a designer and also happened to be my fashion buddy for day 3&4 of Lagos Fashion and Design Week, to fill you in on his experience at Day 2 of the LFDW. As for day 3 and 4, the updates will be coming from yours truly.
Day 3 of Lagos Fashion and design week with was busier than the first 2 days and was very buzz filled! We showed up a little later than the Invitation said the show would start but of course in this part of the world especially in Nigeria, that just meant we were significantly early (African timing). It gave us a chance to walk the grounds, check out the bar at the hotel where the show was being hosted, take some pictures of some super stylish people and of course get photographed ourselves.
The show opened up to some really great energy and although I was really indifferent about a couple of the first collections but subsequent collections and their presentations were very impressive. Iamisigo by Bubu Ogisi gave one of the best exits of the entire fashion week and London based Nigerian Designer Tsemaye Binite brought the X factor with his prints, story boarding, and cohesiveness. His collection was elegant and I think it's fair to say, that he had one of the tidiest finishing at the LFDW. As for Solange Knowle's and Nausheen Shah favorite African designer, Lisa Folawiyo of Jewel by Lisa, she brought the sparkle and the all of the WOW factor along with it. Pictures don't do her collection justice, it was amazing and I will be sharing more specific thoughts and images on her collection and some of my other favorite collections in my posts titled LFDW : Collection spotlight.
